Client Testimonials

See below for some of our current and past client views on the GEC:

"In mid-2007 StatCounter had 1.5 million members and over 50,000 new sign-ups each month. Having outgrown our then-current office, our business needed more people and more space to expand. We needed to get set up fast and didn't have any time to waste.

We investigated our options but some office space proved prohibitively expensive while in other cases landlords were looking for long term leases to be signed - StatCounter's growth meant we didn't want to get locked in. We couldn't risk committing long term to a property that we could rapidly outgrow. We weren't sure what to do.

At this point we made contact with DBIC and all our problems were solved within days. DBIC directed us to the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC). Dolores Dempsey was unfailingly helpful and offered us office space at a great rate with just a monthly commitment and also the option to acquire more space to expand as we grow. All of this combined with friendly, efficient and pro-active staff - we couldn't ask for more!"

Aodhan Cullen, StatCounter

I have been delighted with the facilities and support we have received over the last 3 years. The flexibility of upsizing our office space when needed, the helpful and professional help from support staff, and the entrepreneurial networking environment that exists within the center have all contributed very significantly to our companies’  progress over that period – Thank You.
Daithi Conlon, Website Dublin

"I would really like to thank everyone at the Guinness Enterprise Centre for the last 18 months. Without the Guinness Enterprise Centre and the facilities provided we would defiantly have found it very difficult to setup 4Front IT. If I could narrow down the main advantages of setting up a company in the GEC it would be the following:"

• Flexibility in helping start-up companies in the entail couple of months
• Facilities provided in Board & Conference rooms, Nortel Phone System, Coffee shop
• The name/address - Guinness Enterprise Centre - has an excellent reputation and we noticed that more and more when dealing with a number of customers
• The DBIC mentoring was invaluable.
Eoin McKenna, 4 Front IT

‘We are very pleased. One of the big benefits has been our ability to grow or contract within the Centre. This was very important during the dot.com downturn. When we first came to the GEC we employed 5 people, we now have 44.’
Joe O’Reilly, IT Force

"Sentient began life as a single person company but has grown to 2, 3 and now occupies a 5 person office at the GEC. This growth was easily and flexibly accommodated at the GEC so we did not have to worry about office space or facilities as we increased in size.

Furthermore, the professional reception, security and overall welcome for visitors to Sentient give the right message about our own services and business etiquette at first point of contact.

The high speed and consistent internet services are well priced, as is the accommodation in general in particular the use of the meeting rooms especially compared with some of the hotels around the city!

Lastly, sharing a centre with other like-minded early stage technology firms allows for easy and natural networking (as well as business opportunities) which is always valuable as we work to grow our business."
Derek Corcoran, Sentient

"As a start-up your needs are sometimes contradictory. On the one hand your require accommodation that promotes and supports your business; after all you have enough competitive issues without burdening yourself with sub-standard offices that give your prospective customers the wrong message. On the other hand they must be affordable. Spanish Point requirements were for offices that had a professional reception, good quality meeting rooms and top notch internet access. We found all of these in the Guinness Enterprise Centre. This was coupled with a flexible accommodation policy that has allowed us to expand our office accommodation as we have grown and all of this in a near city centre location. When we move it will be hard to replace the advantages of the GEC but at least we will have the compensation of the friendships we have built with the GEC staff and the other entrepreneurs we have come to know in the centre."
Donal Cullen, Spanish Point

The staff, services and facilities at the GEC are first-class. The Centre provides invaluable support to start-ups and has excelled in accommodating Dovetail's continuing growth.
